    Gaffney's Wine Bar

Gaffney’s is your friendly neighborhood wine bar, where everybody knows your name, ala “Cheers”. The owners are closed on Sunday and Monday, and sometimes they’ll let patrons run the joint when the owners want more time off.

    The 3rd Corner

The variety in atmosphere provides something for all types. The 3rd Corner has a small bar for conversationalist and those waiting for their party, but I prefer to wait in the lounge area where you can sit on one of their plush leather sofas.

  • Firefly Grill & Wine Bar

Firefly is a restaurant, but they have a good wine selection. I would even say better than many wine stores. Uniqueness in wine selection is important for me and Firefly provides wines that you may not find in every store you go to.

Theme/Niche:

Firefly is a strip mall restaurant that we didn’t expect too much from. Don’t let the location across from a Vons and various retail shops fool you. Inside you enter a different world where wine is definitely a prominent player. Firefly provides a romantic and easy going restaurant and wine bar.

Atmosphere:

All age groups can be found at Firefly. One advantage of its prime retail location and being on a major roadway is that it’s convenient and close to many people passing through. The atmosphere is upbeat and vibrant. The staff is vibrant and well versed in wine.

Wine Selection:

Firefly is a restaurant, but they have a good wine selection. I would even say better than many wine stores. Uniqueness in wine selection is important for me and Firefly provides wines that you may not find in every store you go to. While we were reviewing the wine selection and the flight options, our server was guiding us through some of the selections and helping us to winnow down our selection.

Food Selection:

This goes without saying. This is a restaurant and that means food is the primary business for firefly. They have many dishes to match every wine. From cheeses and seafood to match the light whites to steak and pork dishes to pair up with some of their Borolo selections. The prices range from $14 to $30 a plate. You can enjoy 2 wine flights and some good tapas for under $50.
